View Full Version : Santa Clause 3
Anyone who takes their child to this movie, I would love to know a few things:
How old is your child?
Did your child enjoy this?
I would love to take Alex but not sure if he will like it. I am going to try him on SC 2 this week (one starts too slow - I don't know if he will 'get' it) and then try to decide from there.
I would love to hear imput from those of you that do take your children.

Faith is 5 and went last night with her friend and her friend's parents. Honestly I think she was most excited about going on her first big outing w/o mom and dad. She said the movie was good and has been wanting to tell me what happens at the end. I keep telling her to keep it to herself because we will probably go see it as a family.
Sorry I can't be more help, but fwiw we will be taking Schae and she is 3.

lol kc! I am one who likes to know in advance, have her call and tell me! lol!
lol Shawna. Do you read the first chapter and last chapter of a book and skip the middle too? lol
We watched Nightmare Before Christmas with Alex tonight. He loved it!

I like to read non-fiction. I read the last few pages (not even the whole last chapter) and look at all the pics in the middle section and then read the book from start to finish (occassionally re-reading the last few pages to assure myself of the ending...lol)
lol Shawna - I knew it! At least you do go read the middle. I am a fiction girl myself. lol

Yes, I'm good about that, I do read the entire thing. I also always want to know what's going to happen in every movie (and bug the heck out of anyone watching with me) before it happens. BUT I watch it and I watch it again and again and again!
I watch movies over and over as well. Especially the good ones and musicals. There are some I know word for word. lol
Not a movie, but Fantasmic! is one I can watch over and over. I do know the words and music word for word and when home or in the car, I sing with the soundtrack. lol

Lol - I'm right there with you - you know the movie Wildcats with Goldie Hawn? I can recite that from beginning to end - I love that movie. In fact I love any movie where a woman succeeds. Baby Boom is another fav!
I think I have seen Wildcats once. lol

You'll be seeing it again if you spend time with me...lol!
So, how did Alex like SC2?
We have not watched it yet. Since we got Cars that is all he wants to watch. lol

I'm curious to know if SC3 any good too. I think it's playing here in Kalispell. I love the first one and it's one movie we watch every Christmas. :)
I tried Alex on SC1 again last night. He said he didn't like it after the trip to the North Pole so I gave up.

kc - give yourself a break, you've got kidlets gnawing on your ankles for attention 24/7! Plus work!!!! You're just a full-time mommy plus some and there's not gonna be time for that for a while! Just enjoy your kids, you can read books when you're a grandma!
Before I got pregnant I NEVER figured reading would take a backseat since I am an avid reader. It really was a shock! I had to stick to magazines because those are easy to put down.
It is really nice to be reading again. And I really enjoy my daily reading with Alex. It is a total pleasure, and he is so into the books now.

Yup - I read this site, parent magazines, and lots of kid books - esp. Sandra Boynton...lol
Boy, what a change from Ann Rule (just saw she has a new book out and I didn't even bother to get it yet...I miss that!)
I missed reading too. I have never read Ann Rule. My favorites are :gasp: harlequin Intrigue and Bombshell (the new series - much more intrigue than romance).

Now there's where we differ entirely - I like non-fiction and in particular true crime!!!
lol Good thing - we need to have some differences!
