Hi!! I stumbled upon your site and have been a "lurker" for a week or so now! Everyone seems SO kind and helpful - I've enjoyed reading your board and catching up on the Wiggles info on the Wiggles board here! I'm a huge Disney fan with 2 little Disney princesses of my own!:) I noticed this section of the board, and I thought that this may be the perfect place to ask this question --- my daughter is a HUGE fan of the movie 'The Little Mermaid 2' (the sequel to 'The Little Mermaid', I think it came out in '97 or '98, straight to video). She LOVES the character of Melody, who is Ariel and Prince Eric's daughter. I have searched for years, literally, hoping to stumble upon a doll of Melody somewhere, but the only place I've seen them is on E-Bay and they always wind up selling for hundreds of dollars --- apparently this doll was a limited release way back when and is, unfortunately, a "collector's item"! This makes me so sad because my daughter would love and treasure one - but we can't get one because they are rare are expensive! (I've even asked friends who have visited Disney World recently to look for one there - but, no luck!) I feel like this is a toy meant for a child to play with - and yet they're probably in someone's collection, kept in a box...so sad! I've even bought her an old Melody 'Happy Meal' toy (which is more like a small statue) on E-Bay, since that's the closest we could get to one. Does anyone here have any idea where to find one? I've even tried the website of the toy company that produced the doll at one time, but now luck!! I guess I'm desperate and thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a try here - since everyone seems so nice and knowledable!!:) Thanks so much, in advance!! Natalie

:D I just re-read this and there were a few "typos" - I didn't know how to edit it properly - I'm sorry!!
lol Natalie, no problem, I read typo fluently!
First, welcome to the DML message boards!
Secondly, I wish I had better news for you. I would not expect to find that Melody doll unless they rerelease Little Mermaid II. I am going to Disneyland next month though, and would be happy to look for Melody for you while there!
Now, if anyone needs Talking Boo - well - I CAN help you out there!

Oh, thank you SO much!!! If you do happen to see one, I would love to know!!! That's so kind of you!! We did notice on the new 'Little Mermaid' DVD that they have a little song "preview" of 'The Little Mermaid 3' - we were disappointed that it didn't involve Melody, Ariel's daughter!! Its odd that 'TLM 1' - is about Ariel/ Prince Eric - 'TLM 2' about their daughter Melody - and apparently 'TLM 3' will be going backwards. about Ariel and she's apparently a mermaid again (from what I can tell...)--- my daughter was really hoping it would be about Melody possibly being older and having a daughter of her own!!:D But since they're releasing another movie, hopefully they'll put out 'TLM 2' on DVD, too!!:) Thanks, again!!

I keep checking re-sale shops and garage sales, hoping to stumble upon an inexpensive Melody doll -even slightly used would be fine!! LOL!! Everytime I see one listed somewhere, they're going for hundreds of dollars!!! Thanks, again to everyone!!!
I just put this number in another thread, and thought you might want to try it in this case. The number is for Disney Delivears. You can call and see if they have the doll, and if they do, they can ship it to you! Here is the number: 800-362-4533 .

I FOUND ONE! But gosh, you won't like the price and you already mentioned ebay, so you've probably already seen this one. Sorry -- :( Keep looking though because sometimes someone will sell something and not know the true value of the item.<A href="http://cgi.ebay.com/Disney-The-Little-Mermaid-2-MELODY-DOLL-Ariel-daughter_W0QQitemZ230051575201QQihZ013QQcategoryZ3 6529QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem">http://cgi.ebay.com/Disney-The-Little-Mermaid-2-MELODY-DOLL-Ariel-daughter_W0QQitemZ230051575201QQihZ013QQcategoryZ3 6529QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

Jonathan (and I) LOVE the Little Mermaid 2. He saw it 1000 times before ever watching The Little Mermaid. Basically because it was on DVD and our Little Mermaid is on VHS and we no longer have a VHS player. :)

Doesn't that kill you? I spent years collecting every Disney movie on VHS and then DVD's came out - and we had Morgan AFTER DVD was the thing. So, now I am going to have to get them all again...
