I'm having a problem editing. I can edit my replies in a thread, but not if it's a thread that I've started myself -- like the first reply in a thread. It says I don't have access. Is this normal?

Probably because it's one post only and when someone is viewing your post (unfortunately it's YOU only) you can't edit. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. See if you can edit after someone else posts in the thread - try it now since I think there are only a few of us on and it should be easier. If not, send a PM to Goofy and he can tell you what's up.

NOPE -- still won't let me. It's only the initial post. I can edit anything else I've typed later on, just not the first ones. Very strange. I have a thing about typos -- it's an illness.

Yup - I started out as a teacher, English teacher, then moved to elementary. Spelling and grammatical errors used to kill me, I'm a little better now.
Strange, but I don't do tons of editing anymore. Try to PM Goofy about the initial post editing and see if he can help.

Shawna (12/1/2006)[hr]I'm a little better now.
ROTLFMHO! Well, is there a CURE? :hehe:
I swear, it's like a flippin' disease with me. Spelling errors, no punctuation, not enough WHITE SPACE for goodness sake! It drives me nuts! I used to do a desktop publishing business from home where I made flyers, newsletters, business cards, labels and such for people. I guess maybe that's where I get it from. But it's really hard for me -- look at my posts. There's a good chance they've all been edited at one time or another.
:hehe:

Yes, I've noticed you edit regularly - I always laugh when I see the ones who do that - but I have to admit it's nicer than the ones with lots of errors. Not that I don't love reading those posts but my brain is constantly picking up all the wrong things and wanting to correct them. Then there are the "there" and "their" - those kinds of things REALLY drive me nuts.
There's no cure, I've just decided to ignore them. While I was "working", all e-mails had to be completely professional. It took me a LONG time just to use "lol" - I still rarely use smileys and the emoticons, it just seems soooo unprofessional. Of course, then I have to remember I'm just "chatting" and not working...
