Am I alone in thinking that there is about 50x more girl merchandise than boy merchandise in any of the Disney stores? And... if you do not like Stitch or Buzz Lightyear you are pretty much out of luck. Why doesn't Disney think about putting out more boy things and perhaps with some other character, like anyone from Playhouse Disney. Stanley, Rolie Polie Olie, Higglytown Heroes, etc. My kids LOVE Playhouse Disney, yet there is so little merchandise for it.

Or Power Rangers....yeah, I've noticed that too. They also seem to skip ages for boys. It seems to go from about age 7 to adult men, nothing geared toward the ages in between. They're doing better with Incredibles but there is still more of that for girls than boys. I agree they need more boy characters. What about Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, that would be a good one. Or Mowgli and Baloo from the Jungle Book. I'm sure they could come up with some good ideas but it think it has more to do with the fact that they don't see a market for boys stuff as much as girls. Oh well, maybe one day we'll get our wish!!
Or what about the main one, the big cheese? Why does the Disney Store not even carry Mickey Mouse shirts for young boys. Ladies, call DelivEars, let them know what you want and the sizes.
I was disappointed this year because the store right across from the Playhouse Disney Live on Stage Show used to carry the whole line up of Playhouse Disney clothing, including Wiggles. Not anymore, but it can be found at the Disneyland Resort if you look for it.
So, if you know what you want, give them a call. Oh and trust me, I feel your pain. I was amazed there were not even any incredibles shirts at the Disney Store when we went 2 weeks ago.
That phone number is: Disney Delivears: 800-362-4533

I agree with all of you on this one...... on our recent trip to Disneyland, I kept seeing all these cute girls dressed up in costumes & you could find girl costumes thru out the park stores & World of Disney, but when I asked about boy costumes, World of Disney had Peter Pan......... where are all the prince costumes ???? Or dare I say....... Dash from the Incredibles???? This is a newer movie & you'd think they'd be promoting this one big time !!

I have to agree too. Even if older movies are what they make for boys, they are still missing a lot. What about Hercules and Tarzan there are more options I just don't get it. But then again Disney is not the only store like that.
And the closer we get to Halloween the more obvious the gap becomes. In our most recent Disney catalog I was looking at costumes. I am specifically looking for a Pooh costume for Alex. So, does anyone know why a baby can be pooh, or an adult can be pooh, but between the ages of 2 and 20, you can't be???? Oh, but he can be tigger. Come on Disney, play fair!!!!

The also didn't have a lot for adult men costume-wise. My rooommate's hero is Peter Pan and they have a child's Peter Pan costume, a child's Tinkerbell costume, an adult's Tinkerbell, but no adult Peter Pan. Just because they're tall doesn't mean they've grown up yet!! They also don't carry adult Peter Pan hats at Disney. I've noticed more and more guys admitting they like Disney so maybe Disney will start marketing towards boys and men?
