The Black Pearl Boat

We purchased the Capt. Jack Sparrow's Black Pearl boat for Trey for Christmas and have been disappointed with it since we put the thing together. The boat comes in alot of pieces and according to my son it falls apart every time you look at it. He informed me today that dad is going to super glue the boat together. We are very disappointed with the boat especially after paying $60 for it and having it never stay together. Is anyone else having problems with the boat?

Oh man - that's really disappointing to hear! I don't know anything about the boat, it sure sounded neat!
Morgan loves the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and has no complaints but as a consumer I see lots of problems with it.

I am so sorry to hear you are having problems with that boat. I almost picked it up for Alex at Disneyland and am no glad I didn't.
I have found myself shying away from 'big' toys because of this problem (in the other topic I mentioned our Castle - what a joke).

My friend got this for her son as a last minute Christmas gift and didn't realize she paid $60 for just the boat. It didn't have any characters to go with it so he hasn't even really got to play with it yet. I don't know if it is falling apart easily--I'll have to ask her and I'll let you know.

No you have to buy the people separate about $6 at Wal-Mart or Toys R Us

wow, that is amazing that it comes without characters! Heck, I have a pirate boat that I got Alex at a garage sale shortly after his birth that came with pirates. Sure, not Disney, but it is really made well!

I have found a lot of the pirates playsets to be poorly made. I have not been impressed. Even the charecters, all of the clothes are removeable and their apendages come off!! The boys love pirates and they cry everytime one breaks!!
