We have mickey, minnie, tink and goofy so far... and a few multiples in those. I like that these can come off their little stands, so the kids can play with them!

My son works as a manager at McDonalds, so I know when they open a new box of a character :w00t: I have Goofy, Tink, Mickey & Minnie & 6 different cards....the cards are the ???, no one (including his store manager) seem to know how many different cards there are (they're numbered on the back, but not like 12/24 if you know what I mean. I have WDW Cinderella Castle, Remember Dreams Come True Fireworks, Disney's Electrical Parade, POTC, Haunted Mansion & Aladdin, the Musical Spectacular. What cards have you all gotten ??
Okay, how are you all getting so lucky? We have one set each week according to our local mcdonalds. So, I am overflowing with Minnie, and that is all I have from last week. So much for me getting the set!
I have Philharmagic and Space Mountain...the McDonalds website doesn't say how many different cards they have...
I would have one more card, but my hubby, unaware of trying to collect..let my son have the card..so who knows WHERE it is! :)
OH, and the Space Mountain card is numbered 30...so there must be at least that many...that is a LOT of chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers...hehehe...
Actually, I am not collecting the cards, as they are for DL...and we go to WDW...I told Tink I would give her what I get...but if I have doubles, you are all welcome to them..I will let you know...
All I ask in return is the same favor for any WDW merchandise offers! :)
And I am nota snob, I will take help from all of you in getting the 10 figures since they seem to have an issue with that in our local McDonalds.
And, as for the cards, from what I know, there are 50.

Actually the cards are from all the different resorts.. our haunted mansion one is from WDW and we also have a Castle from Hong Kong Disney I think...
When we went last week Tink, they had gotten in those first 4... mickey, minnie, tink and goofy, so we bought 3 happy meals and the fourth toy, then another complete set of the toys...
In case any of you do not know this, you can buy the toys seperately..
Arielfan..
Now that I look, I do see that one of my cards is a WDW one...the Philharmagic one...that is cool.
Now I really wonder where that third car went..
They opened up a new box today to give me Goofy (they only had Minnie open) and somehow I got the Goofy already...maybe each McD has a different schedule for giving them out?
Sue
How do you buy the toys? Do you tell them what you need? Or how does it work? lol

Tink, just ask them which ones they have and then tell them you want to buy whichever ones you want. It does work out a bit more expensive then when they are included with the happy meals, but might be cheaper in the long run since you are not buying so many happy meals to get the ones you want.
At least that is the way it works at every McDonalds I have been in in Alberta...
I plan on going to a different Mcdonalds tomorrow. I will check it out and see if I have better luck. Thanks for the advice.
Leanne
Yippee...got 2 more today...Donald and Chip and Dale....
Only 5 more to go!
Awesome! Keep on going! Did you say you are not collecting the cards? I decided I want to try for all of them. lol Yeah, call me crazy but what the heck.
If anyone is NOT collecting the cards and would like to send them to me, send me a pm and I will give you my address.
Leanne
Darnit!! Hubby got Trey a Happy Meal tonight, and he got another Minnie Mouse...grrr....
Guess I will be doing a tour of McD's in the next few days to try to find the final 5 I need!!!!
:)
I was gonna stop at a different McDonalds tomorrow after Alex's appointment, but forgot to go get cash today. What the heck was I thinking? lol
Oh, and don't complain about 3 Minnie. You still are not up to my count: 7
Leanne
Most of our local McD's take credit cards... *grin*
Only 2 minnies..but still...how disappointing...we were on SUCH a run! :)
Had to go about 1/2 hour away for a business meeting yesterday..stopped at all 5 mcd's on the way home...ended up with Buzz and Tink!!!!!
Now, we have Mickey, Simba and Pluto left...

So we have pluto, stitch, buzz and simba to get still
I should be able to get a Buzz easily for ya Ariel...let me know if you want me to.
I just hope to try to find all 10, especially given we leave for WDW in just under 6 weeks!!
Sue :)
Got them all! I had still needed Mickey, Simba and Pluto after this weekend...Grammy got Mickey for Trey, then our milkshake runs the past few days (Trey has been really sick) got us the last 2! They look GREAT along my fireplace mantel!
Sue :)
Wow, good job Sue. I bet they do look great. I will have to remember that place. They would probably look awesome next to my 50th Anniversary Disney Mantle Clock! Now, just need to find out what I still need. lol
Leanne
I really am amazed at the level of quality of these figurines, especially given they are just in a Happy Meal...
I bet your mantle clock would look adorable with these figurines flanking it....
Let us know what you still need...

I finally got something to put the cards into.... I was trying to figure out a safe way of storing them, but easy to look at as well. I thought maybe baseball card clear sleeves to put in a note book, but knew those slots would be too big, so wandering thru Staples & found business card clear sleeves. They worked perfectly, only problem is, they open in the center, so if I hold the book sideways, so you can see the cards up & down, they cards in the one side, slide a bit, none have fallen out yet, but could.
So my next thing will be figuring out how to photograph them, so you can actually see them. The plastic is shiny & could cause a glare, but the cards also have the possibility of glaring, so Mike & I will work on it & see what we can come up with.

How many of these do people have? I started collecting them when they came out, but then resorted to getting them at yardsales. I can see about 20 right now, but we're still unpacking, so I could have more. I've never looked on ebay for these.
Does anyone have the whole set? Were there 50 or 100 in the set?
I don't know how many since I forgot to send in my stuff, but Danette did, so she can tell us!

Oh good grief, what's wrong with people! I agree Rena
Wow.
But the good news is that those are not the wobblers (or ARE they)? lol
Wiggles1
11-21-2006, 10:47 AM
No, those aren't the wobblers ones. These are the ones that had the little gold base at the bottom. I think I only have about 20, but see there were 100 in the set. Yikes. It would be cool to have the whole set. We had a few of the wobblers too. Are those the ones that look like jelly beans, or are these actual wobbleheads? Gosh, there are too many to keep track of!
Speaking of whole sets, for about 15 years I have had an "incomplete" cat plate set. There were 8 in the set originally, but I only bought 6 of them years ago. On a limb, I looked on ebay yesterday and found the two plates in the set I was missing and they were being sold TOGETHER. What was the chance of that? And of course, I had to buy them to complete the set -- LOL!
lol about the plates.
As for the characters with the gold bases, there were only 10. There were either 50 or 100 cards. I have all the characters, but gave my cards to a friend so she could complete her set.
I am not sure what those ones are. I don't remember any year of 100 dreams characters. But I do have the year of 100 dreams pin set! lol

Oh sorry Leanne -- I must have confused you. The set I'm talking about is the one pictured on that ebay link and I'm pretty sure there were 100 figurines total. I have only 20 or so. Each figure stands on a round plastic gold circle and has a sticker that says "100 Years of Magic Walt Disney World". On the other side of the circle is another sticker that has the character's name and year on it. They're kind of cool and like I said, I'd love to have the whole set. I've found quite a few at yardsales in the past.

Lol - she's easy to confuse!!! Just kidding there!
Seriously, she's still got that nasty cold and probably only read about every third word of your post even though she thinks she read it all! She needs rest - but she can't stop chatting with us! lol - Leanne cannot give us up because it's her daily Disney fix!
Just playing with you Leanne - she's totally on top of everything, but she has got to rest and get rid of her crud!
Ummmm - Shawna - you are soooo right! I am easy to confuse!
Oh, I did read the post, but I missed the important stuff. Walt Disney World. Heck - I didn't even know they were doing those and have never seen them so I know nothing! lol
Sorry Rena. lol
