These are easy ways to get around the park without having to walk. It?s also a great way to avoid the crowds on busy days. Try the Tomorrowland and <st1:place><st1:PlaceName>Toon <st1:PlaceType>Town train stops for easier access.
<OL style="MARGIN-TOP: 0in" type=1 start=2><LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-list: l4 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in">Try the <st1:place><st1:PlaceName>Baby <st1:PlaceType>Center. There are changing tables, high chairs, microwaves, baby supplies for sale, little potties for toddlers, and a quiet place to breast feed and rock your baby. The Baby Centers are located at the end of <st1:Street><st1:address>Main Street by the Plaza Inn at <st1:place>Disneyland and by the Misson Tortilla Factory and Boudin Bakery at California Adventure.

<OL style="MARGIN-TOP: 0in" type=1 start=3><LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-list: l4 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in">Check out the character meets and greets. This is a fun way to get some great pictures with your baby and the Disney characters. There is a daily schedule available in the <st1:place>Disneyland parks maps.
<OL style="MARGIN-TOP: 0in" type=1 start=4><LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-list: l4 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in">Watch for Street Shows and Live Music. There is a daily schedule in your Disneyland Parks maps.
<OL style="MARGIN-TOP: 0in" type=1 start=5><LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-list: l4 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in">Take advantage of fast passes and parent exchanges. You can cut the wait time for rides that baby can?t go on by using fast passes and also by taking turns with other adults in your party. Just inform the cast member at the ride that you need to do a parent exchange and instead of waiting in line twice, you can take turns riding.
<OL style="MARGIN-TOP: 0in" type=1 start=6><LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-list: l4 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in">Know your baby. There are some great rides and attractions that baby may enjoy. However, be aware of what may scare your baby or if your baby is sensitive to loud noises.
<OL style="MARGIN-TOP: 0in" type=1 start=7><LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-list: l4 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in">Your stroller can be your friend. Some attractions have special access for parties with strollers. Also, there are stroller parking areas for most baby-friendly rides. And don?t forget not to leave valuables in your stroller when parking it to ride a ride. Did you forget your stroller? The <st1:place>Disneyland resort offers rental strollers. Just hang on to your receipt and name card and you only have to pay one rental fee for the whole day for both parks. Also you can get unlimited stroller rental with your admission ticket and avoid worrying about extra expenses when you get to the Resort.

<OL style="MARGIN-TOP: 0in" type=1 start=8><LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-list: l4 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in">Pace yourself and schedule some down time. There are many places in the <st1:place>Disneyland resort that are quiet and great places to relax. For example, check out the lobby of the Grand Californian. There are relaxing places to sit, even in front of a fire! And there is an area where little ones can watch Disney cartoons while sitting in rocking chairs. Try going to shows during the afternoon; most have air conditioning and comfortable seating. If your budget allows it, try utilizing a hotel room in the afternoon to rest and relax.
<OL style="MARGIN-TOP: 0in" type=1 start=9><LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-list: l4 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in"> Try the package service. Shopping is a great activity with baby. However, instead of toting around a bunch of bags try the package service. You may purchase items and have them held to be picked up later. Ask the cast members for the locations for pick up. Also, if you?re staying at any of the resort hotels, the bags can be sent to your hotel for pick up.
<OL style="MARGIN-TOP: 0in" type=1 start=10><LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-list: l4 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in">When waiting for the tram, stand at the front or back lines. There are special tram seats for wheelchairs and strollers. This way you don?t have to fold up your stroller. But remember it is necessary for safety reasons to take your baby out of the stroller while on the tram.

There is a HUGE amount of information on this and so much more actually in the main pages - that is the best place to go for tips!
Everyone, please take time and go back to the main page <A href="http://www.disneymouselinks.com">www.disneymouselinks.com and read through the guides and reviews. They are so much help and so many people are missing them because we're always wrapped up on the message boards. Take the time, I PROMISE it's worth it!

Hm, my post turned out funny. Anyway, wow you weren't kidding!! There's tons of info on the website. I didn't even think of half the stuff that's discussed in the babies and toddlers section. Very cool! Yah I have to admit I haven't poked around the website a lot yet. But the boards are so much fun! ;) LOL

Lol - I know, it's hard to go back when we've got THIS! Lots of people miss it, so we still try to send anyone going over there if we can catch them. I think I found the board here right before the message board started up so that's where I read info for quite a while. I also was leery of going a message board and didn't really want to post anything or get my personal info out there...ha - here I am now...the mega-poster!

This whole site was started because Leanne and I could not find information on taking a baby to Disneyland when Alex was 14 months old. We are extremely excited when we get comments from parents who after visiting our website decided it was ok to take their babies/toddlers to DL and had a great time. I think 1 or 2 of them are members here now.
But your post was excellent and I'd like to stick it on the main site if that is ok with you.
We are always looking for articles about visiting Disneyland/World for the main website... toddler specific or not.
Most of the big Disney websites start to rely on their forums for most of the useful information on their sites. We are committed to keep adding great information to the main site since 1000s visit there daily.

Hi Andy!
Yes, please feel free to put my post on the main site. It may require a little editing and I also give permission for that. :D
The first time I took my son to DL he was 4 months old. It was a great experience and I would encourage anyone to take their babies and toddlers to DL. Also, do children under 3 still get in for free? I didn't include that one either! Thanks for the great work and putting this site together!

Great tips. The info on this site is second to none. I found this site by following a link for character meals. I cannot remember if it was google or another site with a link but I am very happy that I did find it. Most of the guidebooks out there do not recommend taking children until around seven for them to enjoy it. That is so wrong. I was worried that at 4 1/2 yrs my DD would not be able to fully enjoy some rides but I was set at ease by the reviews and tips on this site. DD did so well and is so sad that we cannot go everyday.

Splash it's so nice to hear that! I found this site through a search too planning Morgan's 1 year birthday. I cannot fathom that people tell others to NOT take their kids at a young age. It's the ultimate family vacation - you cannot find a better place to go with your kids for vacation!!! Hands down!
I agree - this site is absolutely unbelievable with info and the members here are the best as well!!!

Funny about this topic.
I was just checking the search phrases that people entered into Google and ended up on our site.
One phrase was 'Disney World Babies'
We are always #1 on Google for any phrase containing Disneyland and Toddlers/Babies and usually #1 for Disney World also.
But in this case we were #2 and themeparkinsider was #1. I was so irritated at the answers to the OP (it was in 2005) that I signed up and replied.
Here is the thread:
<A href="http://www.themeparkinsider.com/news/response.cfm?ID=2174">http://www.themeparkinsider.com/news/response.cfm?ID=2174
Alex will not remember his trip to DL at 14 months but there is no doubt that, at the time, it was the favorite thing he had ever done.
I think all these sites/people that do not recommend taking a baby/young toddler to Disneyland are doing so because of how it affects the 'adults', not the children.

Love your response Andy - thank you for doing that!!!! Hopefully more parents find us and take their kids! Alex and Morgan and other kids may not remember their first trips but they will have all the pics and KNOW that we cared enough to spend our time with them.

Woo hoo! Way to go, Andy! I was almost mortified when I read some of those responses. My son was 4 months old when I took him the first time and we had a complete blast with him. The characters made a fuss over him, I got some WONDERFUL pictures. I took him on the Storybook Canal Boats ride. And he's always been so well-behaved when we've gone. In fact, when he was a baby he would just fall asleep in his stroller when he got tired with no fussing or crying or "annoying" other guests. We'd take the time to sit and have a snack or do some shopping. It was never a burden to take him. He's always been so comfortable at DL. The worst place to go with him would be the mall. He had a couple of meltdowns at malls. But he NEVER had any problems going to DL. And the Baby Center is such a lifesaver at times.
In fact, we went to DL with friends in October and they have a 3 y.o. who can be a very challenging child; he throws temper tantrums frequently. We were there all weekend and he was the best behaved I've ever seen him. It's the Happiest Place on Earth! My opinion is, if you are enjoying yourself and you include your children in the fun, they are going to enjoy themselves too. And they may be too young to "remember" the trip, but the quality family time will last a lifetime. And that is my 2 cents. :w00t:

That's a big one for me too - quality family time. DL is all about the family and that's the best trip you could do with your kids, something specifically for them and we love it too!
