Isn't Fantasmic! inside in Florida? Don't they let you wait inside?
When you say had the pic done with Fantasmic! Mickey, was that Sorcerer Mickey or one of the others? In Fantasmic! he has many Mickey roles.
Was the Backlot Tour just a gun show?
And is the Lights, Motors, Action totally worth the waits to get in?

I think Fantasmic is outside at WDW...at least from the pics it looks like a stadium that is open. But we were wet and tired, and Trey would never have made it longer at the park either way.
The Backlot tour is an open bus (has tops but no sides) tour through the backlot of the MGM studios. You can see them making costumes and sets, and then see lots of cool props from various movies. They then take you through a set where a train comes towards you and the mountains flood you with water...basically a "mistake" b/c the set was supposed to be closed...you know how they set these types of things up. There was some gunfire during the setup of the "scene" we got stuck in. Then we got to see Herbie from the new movie and other cool stuff. It was a nice ride, and very interesting, even for Trey.
The new car show is great...we only waited about 20 min in the stands, and it was relaxing to eat a few snacks. They had trivia playing on a big screen that also took up time. They showed how the films were done on the big screen, so you saw the big picture of what it looked like during taping, then how it would look in the movies. I would highly recommend it, it was well worth the 20 min wait at the stadium, and all the seats were good. It is outside, but the bleachers (stadium bleachers) all had coverage, so we were out of the rain.

If you feel like your child won't make it through the Animation exhibit you can actually skip it to go straight to the characters that is at the end. A cast member told us this 2 years ago when Mr & Mrs Incredible was there. You go into the Art store and walk through it to the back and keep following the path and where people are coming out of. This saves you a bunch of time and keeps your children happy. :D

Yes Fantasmic is held outside at MGM. There is tons of bleacher seating with the first several rows getting wet from the sprays of water cannons. The Lights,Motors, Action ( I think that is the name) Car stunt show also has a fast pass that you can get and you get to enter people all the people in the standby line.

Yes, everything was slip sliding away! haha
Lots of water flying everywhere...the kids in the audience loved it!
Trey's favorite was the car driving backwards...

You didn't take your Trey on Tower of Terror? Oh Trey just loved it. At age of 4 we explained alot of things may be scary at WDW but all it is is Mickey playing tricks on you. After that he was fine. He would look at the cm trying to freak him out and just laugh and point at them. he is a big thrill seeker, loved Thunder railroad, Test Track, Tower of Terror, Splash Mt. and thing fast and wild. He was upset I wouldn't like him go on Space Mt.

No kidding Kristi!
After Alex got scared on Matterhorn, we are much more careful. Therefore, while tall enough, he has not been on Big Thunder, Star Tours, Space Mountain or Tower of Terror.
Maybe this 20 disc set I ordered will help out on those. lol

Yes and his little sister is just as bad. She is already saying she wants to go on the big rollercoaster. Last year she was able to do Goofy's Barnstormer and loved it. This year I may let Trey to Space Mt. He doesn't do well with being in the pitch dark. He hated Stitch's Escape because it would get so dark. He didn't yell and cry but he refused to go back on it oh and he hated Dinosaur. Which is pretty intense for a young child.

Heck, that can be scary for an adult!

He was fine with the ride until we ran into the T-Rex and he was chasing the car. Then when the tram stopped and T-rex gets in your face and roars. That was the end for him.
