View Full Version : Sue's WDW trip - Day 5
Wow, this sounds like a great day. How awesome you got to see the Incredibles. Pictures???
And what other rides besides Peter Pan have Fastpass in Fantasyland? The Peter Pan at Disneyland doesn't and the line is always a killer.
Can you tell me more about the Tomorrowland Transit Authority ride? What exactly is it?
Wow, I hope Alex is tall enough to do Splash Mountain next year. I know he will love the ride itself, but the drop has me concerned. Do your logs have individual seats at WDW?
Casey's for lunch? What do they serve besides hot dogs? Why period wear? I think of the Casey Junior Circus Train when you mentioned this eatery. (Can you review it)?
And finally, Wishes. I have heard it is wonderful. In fact I have heard comlaints from some because the new show at Disneyland has portions of Wishes. Having seen that show from a non ideal location, Wishes or not, I thought it was incredible. Heck, I always love Disney fireworks.
Another great report, thanks Sue!

Aladdin Carpet Ride - is that like Dumbo? Or something totally different? I have absolutely no clue.
Fastpasses at MK: If I remember correctly, FP can be had for the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Carribean, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight, Buzz Lightyear, Stitch's Great Escape and Winnie the Pooh.
Splash Mountain has a 40" requirement...so I bet Alex will be able to do it next year...Trey is just over 41" tall this year. The logs are not individual seats, but bench seating for about 5 rows in each log raft.
We did get some great pics of the Incredibles...Hubby is working on downloading everything to CD Rom for me so I can send you all some pics!
Casey's on Main St serves hot dogs, corn dogs, fries and drinks..that is it. It has a cute awning outside the restaurant, and the seating is all outside in iron tables and chairs. There are signs saying not to feed the extensive amounts of ducks and other critters that come by to visit while you are eating.
Period dress on Main St...the cast members always dress up in old fashioned clothes on Main St in MK...the photographers have the knickers on, and many cast members walk around with their parasols and the mayor and fire chiefs stop and talk to guests. The genteel ladies often tease the men. Hubby was teased about being on the cell phone in Disney, and they got Trey to dance with them.
Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride is like Dumbo...a small kids ride that allows you to control if you go up or down. There are 2 sets of seats and you can fit 4 total on each carpet...Trey loved it.
I think I answered all your questions...feel free to keep asking! :)
Oh...Trey's favorite ride...the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.."TTA"...or the metroliner Trey liked to call it.
Basically, it is a ride where you get into a little car type thing (two benches facing each other) from a moving platform, and it takes you all over Tomorrowland so you can see all the rides. It takes you through Space Mountain (and you can see the riders waiting and the coasters over your head), takes you through Buzz Lightyear, and around the Carousel of Progress. Basically, it is a pretend subway type system for the Tomorrowland rides...and it has a cute soundtrack (Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow...your party is waiting ... hehe). It also has lots of pics on the sides of the ride, and you have a nice view when you are outside going over the walkways of the castle and the indy speedway. Trey really enjoyed it, and it is a nice way to rest your adult feet!! :)
