Woops...I forgot to write that we also went to Mickey's Philharmagic and the Jungle Cruise on Day 7. Philharmagic was great...we really enjoyed it!

Wow, that stroller tip is incredible, I had never read or heard that anywhere before, thanks!
Mickey's Philharmagic.. Awww, now I am really jealous. I so badly want to see it. Care to tell me more about it?
That restaurant in Kissimee, how were the prices? What else can you tell me?
I am sad now, the reports are done. I have so enjoyed reading about your trip. You will never forget this first trip with Trey.

Okay Sue, ya'll did a lot in the 7 days with a little one. I'm planning on going with anywhere from 3-7 other adults and an 11 yr old and my friends newborn (he/she will be 5-6 months old).....Do you think I'll be able to get through all the parks with the bigger rides added? We are planning on going in Oct, hoping the crowds are smaller. Also, my friends with the newborn might not go (they really want to, they were planning a trip next summer but just found out she was pregnant so have to push back the dates) so I'm assuming we'll move faster without the baby or will it not make too much of a difference considering the number of adults going?

Long trip. Walt Disney seems huge. After being so used the the compact California Disneyland I think it would be hard for us to get used to it.
I didn't see Animal Kingdom on your trip. Did I miss a day or did you not make it?

Philharmagic....a 3-D movie about Donald Duck trying to take over Mickey's orchestra...really cute, and Donald has to get out of a lot of jams...a great ending that I won't spoil for ya! :) Well done and the music is great..one of the best 3-D movies in the park.
Angels...you will definitely move faster with just adults, though you will still need the same amount of time, because usually the lines for the adult oriented rides tend to be a little longer, and so you may be waiting in more lines (we skipped certain rides b/c of Trey, and then went back later). We could have done the parent switch with Trey, but did not want to have to wait in line with him, and since we had other family with us, we just waited until that family could watch Trey to do most of the rides. If you want to be sure not to skip a single ride, and see ALL there is to see...you will need at least 2 weeks! If you want to catch the majority of the good stuff and see a great portion of all 4 of the WDW parks, a 7 day hopper (like we had) will give you the opportunity to see a whole bunch, and still have a bit of relaxation time built in. We got really tired by the end of the week, and I wish we would have 'scheduled' a no-park day to refresh everyone...we could have just hung out at the pool or something. You could also (depending on the time of year) add the water park option to your passes, and plan to do the 2 water parks at WDW certain days as an opportunity to take a pace change from the theme park atmosphere. Most people will tend to do a water park in the AM to early PM, then go rest and take the evening at a theme park..works out nicely that way.
Pacino's on 192 East (going away from Disney to the east) is on the left hand side. The prices were about $15-$25 for full entrees that included bread, etc..and the kids entrees, including drinks, were about $5-6. You got HUGE portions! I think my fettucine alfredo with chicken was about $20, and the steak dinners (with veggies and a carb side dish) were about $25...but those were 16 oz steaks!!! Yummy, they were done over an oak fire. Nice atmosphere...wooden tables and tile floors, very typical italian steakhouse feel. Very casual, like all restaurants in the WDW area...they know you are coming from the parks, and you don't plan to get changed before you eat. Recommended in the Frommer's guide to WDW for kids (that is where we found it at) as well.

Oh, and October is a bit of a busier month..Nov, Jan and Feb are the slowest months...
