Oh YAY!! I see you got a list of pennies up! Yeah, the ones I'm missing are the 3 from the Opera House Exit. Just a suggestion to those wanting to press the pennies, make up a roll of the really pretty shiny pennies, they are a lot clearer to see. I ended up re-pressing some because I couldn't see them very well. Now while using the list makes it easier, it's still kinda fun to try and find them on your own! Of course if you want the whole set, I would use the list at least on the last day to day and a half only because you're probably going to have to retrace some steps!!

Now, where do you get shiny pennies? For our trip I was going to get rolls from the bank. I want the coins in rolls for ease of carrying. Am I going to have to open then and wash the coins? Yeah, I know, a totally stupid question, but heck, I have never pressed pennies before.

I read your reply about washing pennies, and had to laugh. I actually know something that will get your pennies very shiney. In a high school chemistry class, we were discussing acid's and bases, and we did an experiment of adding some taco bell taco sauce (I think hot, but I believe any kind will work), in with some pennies. I just put the pennies in a dish and added some taco sauce. A couple minutes later the pennies were shiney and looking new!! Try this for yourself! Anyways, it makes you wonder what you are really doing to yourself whenever you have something very acidic!!

Actually, any kind of hot sauce will work or coca-cola (coke will also clean out a soap ring in the tub or sink also)!! Doesn't it make you want to run out and eat/drink some!!
The way we did the shiny pennies was we rolled our own from my "Disney Jar". If I had really thought about it, I would have just taken the first 50 shiny pennies, rolled them and marked the roll so I didn't cash it in. As for which side to smash them on, I didn't really notice a difference. I'll look when I get home though and make sure.
