Molly (3) and I are going to see the Princesses on Ice. Has anyone seen this before? Is it fabulous? Suggestions on seating?

Cat - I have not seen that particular show, but happen to LOVE Disney on Ice! If you are going to be in a small center, anywhere will be fine. If it is a large arena, then you do want to get closer.
I am totally partial to Front Row seats for Disney on Ice. They have it set up that the characters can come off the ice into the front row.
We are going to Disney on Ice, Monsters Inc. today and have front row seats. I will let you know about that one later!
As for the Princesses - my sister in law saw this one a few years ago with her niece, and loved it!

Where do these Disney on Ice shows come to? I've never even heard of one coming to my area. Is there a schedule that I could find somewhere and see if they are coming to a neighboring city or state?

Katie - <A href="http://www.disneyonice.com">www.disneyonice.com will have the schedule for you!
The one we saw in December had me totally in love with these ice shows! I dread a Princess one coming back here, because Andy and Alex won't go. lol

Thanks Tink!! I have to see if they are coming my way!
And I would LOVE a princess one. My girls would get a huge kick out of it and my hubby is very good about supporting all things girly! (I really hope we have a boy someday! LOL)

Well, the Disney on Ice shows don't even come to Idaho!!! But, they come to Salt Lake City and that is only 2 1/2 hours from me. Unfortunately, I just checked the schedule for Salt Lake and the last showing was today!! Can you beleive it? The shows were March 14-18.
I guess I will have to keep a better eye on the schedule and try to snag tickets the next time it comes around!

Bummer Katie! Wow - you aren't far from Salt Lake at all!

Katie - I guess you will have to drive to Denver in December then! Come meet Andy, me, Alex, Shawna and Morgan.
Why?
Because we will have Princess Wishes here in December - and yes, that is confirmed through my source!
At the show, there will be 7 Princesses, including Jasmine - and each will have their Prince. Mulan is one of the Princesses, and there will be a Fire Breathing Dragon as well. It promises to be a wonderful show.
And my darling son told us yesterday after Monsters Inc (Disney on Ice) that he wants to see the Princesses!
So, Cat - you go so you can tell us all more about it! ;)

I will be more than happy to share. We are going to be ring side or however it works. I bought tickets on the front row. I haven't told Molly yet. April seems sort of far away. Right now she is still processing that we are going to Disneyland in one week.

The girls would LOVE the princesses on ice show! And actually, paired figure skating is my favorite so I would love to see them all dancing with their princes! Scott enjoys paired figure skating too.
Do you get to see any of the characters afterr the show for autographs or anything?
Tink we would love to come to Denver to see the show!! (Now all we need is the money to do it!!LOL) Maybe the show will come to Salt Lake around then too...

Okay - no meet and greets after the show. In face, their is one half of the arena that you can't even access because it is a staging area.
Cat - front row seats - you are going to love it! And one thing we did in December? We saw Disney on Ice 6 days before our trip to Disneyland! That show was the Disneyland Adventure one, so it worked out very nicely.
For you guys - you will go to Disneyland first, then have more magic a few weeks later at Disney on Ice. That will be fantastic!
Katie - each city that gets Disney on Ice usually gets 2 shows a year. One show will be Princess related, the other is something else. Since Salt Lake just had the Princesses, don't get your hopes up for another visit this year - it will most likely be something else. Disneyland Adventure - the Incredibles is WONDERFUL. Monsters Ince is Incredible! I can highly recommend either of those shows.
I must also say the one Alex really wants is the 100 years show - there is a video of that one on the Disney on Ice site.

I've seen the 100 Years show and the Princess show. For the 100 Years one my ex took me for my birthday so it was just me and him, we sat probably mid seating for the show, not bad seats. For the Princess one, it was me, my ex, our friend Steph and her daughter (we took them out because Steph's husband was out to sea) and because it was a last minute deal we ended up WAY at the top of the arena, Serena still had a good time and you could see everything. It was awesome the way she kept gasping and pointing and telling us her favorites!!

Danette - do you have any pics from the 100 years show? Alex would love one of the Small World portion that he has seen in video!
When did you see that one? I am curious about time frame, since we tend to be 1 year later than east and west coast on the Disney on Ice shows.

Let's see, 100 Years show was like, years ago....so it's probably a different show now. The Princess one was a few months after that. It was (I think) late 02 for 100 Years and maybe early 03 for the Princess, so it's been awhile. And I don't think we took any pics, and if we did psycho ex had them and he destroyed all the pics we took together.

Thanks for letting me know Danette. I just whipped off another email to my contact to see if the 100 years show has been here yet or not. lol

Leanne is the 100 years of magic have a variety of shows from different movies and then at the intermission they bring out floats of small world? If so that's the one we saw last Jan. and we have pics.

Yes Kristi! You have pics? Especially of Small World? Can you please send them to me!
I did hear from my source, and it has already been here, so he will never get to see it.

Yes, I will post some under the Disney World sections later today but here is what you have been asking for. My camera was not on the best behavior that day but the shots are still okay. We had second row seats. Where the normal seats start but there was 2 mini rows of floor seats but I had no clue about them when I called and order tickets. And Leanne this is the only Small World pic I took. Like I said camera issues.

Okay, I didn't see the Small World thing when I watched the 100 Years one, so guess they must have updated it!
