Hi everyone - I know this movie is being released on March 30th, and that it is rated G.
I also know that it is about the future - and there are a lot of scenes from Disneyland (animated) in the future. There is a T-Rex - not sure what he does, and a caffeine freak science lady.
That is all I know. lol
So, how many of you are planning on taking your toddlers to this movie? I want to take Alex, but am not sure if he will enjoy it or not.
I would love to hear your thoughts.

I will take Gabriel (5), but not Molly (3). To be honest, it is the 14 year old (Marec) that is most excited about the movie. he loves the preview feature the T-Rex explain that his hands are little and his head is big.
I bought the Meet the Robinsons Pez dispencers last weekend. The villian is very cool looking.

This show looks cute, but I will either wait til it comes out in our $2 theater or rent it when it comes out on video. Either that or just take Corinne. It seems geared towards older kids and I don't think Makenna would sit through it but we'll see...
I really like the T rex scene too. The villain says "Why aren't you getting them?!" And the T rex says "Because I have little arms and a big head" It makes me laugh every time!

I love that scene as well Katie. And on the Disney.com website, you can see more info about it. Space Mountain is in the movie as well as other things from Disneyland. So - I am thinking I just might take Alex to see it. He sat through Cars, but obviously that was a totally different type move.
Ratatoullie (or however you spell it) is the new Disney/Pixar creation, and it will be out June 30. I definitely will take Alex to see that one! We have loved each and every one of the Pixar films.

We will definitely be at Ratatouille as well! Makenna even says she wants to see that one!
I'll wait and see about the Robinson movie...

If I decide to take Alex to Meet the Robinsons, I will let everyone know how he liked it, and all about it. Deal?

I am going to take my 4 yr old to see it after I preview it. I got to see the trailer in 3D when I saw Nightmare before Christmas in 3D. If the whole movie is as good as the previews were in 3D, then wow. The 3D effects were great as it was shot in the new Disney 3D which is fantastic. I will let everyone know how the 3D works out and if it is too intense for younger children to see, if it is will take daughter to the regular show. That way I get to see it twice.

Since the kids and I will be at DL on the 30th, I'm thinking we might go see it at DTD. That might be pretty cool. Has anyone been to the theater there? What can I expect?

Okay Leanne - I found an article about this earlier today and though I've forgotten where I found it, I wanted to post a little info about this movie.
The interview was with the Director and the Producer. It is about an orphaned boy who wants parents, wonders why he was left, wonders about his birth mother, wonders about his traits, his life. This sounds like a fantastic movie, but that's some pretty serious content they're dealing with. FYI for families with small ones just because they don't all know that you can be without a mom or dad and that could be a frightening thought.

I did talk to another mother this morning who will be taking her 4 year old to see the movie. They are Disney fans (we were at Target - and it was obvious by the reading material being selected) and this will be this child's 4th movie.
We live in a small one theater town, so don't know if we will get the 3-D version or the regular one. Keith - do let me know about the 3-D one just in case!
It opens on a friday, and we will probably go see it the following Monday or Wednesday.

This weekend I bought the book, and read it to Alex. We are definitely going to see the movie. It has robots! (he loves robots since he saw the Incredibles). The story itself he may not be able to understand, but he should still really enjoy the movie.

We decided just to go ahead and do the first showing saturday in 3D with our DD Gabrielle. If it wasn't Disney we would probably still screen it first. It is a running gag at work if someone asks why you are not doing something to say " because I have little arms and a big head". Don't remember how it started but it doesn't seem to end. LOL. Will give a report on the #D when we get back from the movie. I think this will be Gabrielles 5th movie at a theater. Her first was curious george, then Cars, the wild, happy feet.

Keith - can't wait to hear what you think!
Also, since we discussed Happy Feet to no end - what did you think of that movie as a parent? I've not even brought it into the house because of the political messages one of the moms told us about in the movie. I don't know what to do.

Personally I was offended as a parent by happy feet. We took Gabrielle on opening weekend and I felt that my money and time were taken under false pretense. What was supposed to be a funny, good natured movie about a cute dancing penguin was nothing more than political drivel, bigotry, and mockery aimed at christians, working americans, and anyone who doesn't bow down to Al Gore and his cronies. They used my daughter to hold me hostage for 1 1/2 hours while they subjected me to all this and the movie wasn't even very good, it bored me to tears. My daughter did like the few scenes that the penguin was cute but that ended very quick.
Sorry to get off topic to answer so I will whack my knuckles.lol. And now back to our regularly scheduled topic.

Happy Feet was okay until the whole trap in the zoo and with Mumble hallucinating type stuff. Trey & Kyan was entertained till then and then they was a little confused. Trey started asking alot of questions and I didn't like the way they targeted the zoo as a bad place. I haven't bought it yet and it will probably depend on if the children make a fuse for it.

Thanks Keith & Kristi!!! Okay, I now am certain that I will avoid this movie entirely. Happy Feet that is.
Considering our total and complete agreement on Village Haus, I know that I can totally agree with your opinions on that movie - thank you Keith!!!
And I too will punish myself for changing subjects! lol..
