If you want to know nothing about the movie before going then only read the first paragraph. In the second I will tell a little about the movie. In the first I only give my opinion about the 3D effects and my 4 yr old DD and my rating.
Just got back from seeing Meet the Robinsons in 3D and I give it 2 thumbs up. The 3D effects were cool and it is definitly worth seeing in 3D although you do have to pay $2 for the glasses but you get to keep them. I loved the the feel of the depth of the movie, the 3D effect did not just stick to items leaving the screen but gave it 3D depth in the background. I found the movie entertaining and my 4 yr old daughter gave the movie a rating of "Great". She said kids her age would like to see it. Another great reason to see it in 3D is that before the movie you get to see the Donald Duck,Chip and Dale shot "Working for peanuts" in 3D and it is fantastic. The only part that she said scared her a little was: Don't read further if you don't want to hear about the movie.
She said the only part that scared her a little was a scene when the robot that lewis builds in the future is pierced thru the chest by the claw of the hat from the villian. The movie also gets a little dark at the end when the future is changed for the worse. I think it is a great story about getting past your past and moving on toward the future.
Make sure that at the end of the movie you read the quote that comes up on the screen, after you read it the name of who wrote it will apear and one of the important sayings in the movie will make sense.
The Disneyland tribute is very short fly by in the movie but the movie is a dedication to Walt in a way. Go and enjoy this movie.
Also after you are told to put on the glasses you will see a 3D preview of Nightmare Before Christmas which will return to theaters again this October. Beware that at the end of the preview a jack a lantern pops out of the screen and it did startle my DD.

I looked at hollywood.com. Look up theaters in your area and each theater will list if they have it in 3D. If it doesn't say 3D then it will not be in 3D. If you happen to live in New York City it will only be shown in 3D there. It will also probably say in your local paper listings if a show is in 3D. It will be shown in 3D in only 600 theaters across the US.
One cool effect is that when it rains in the movie it looks like it is raining inside the theater.

Leanne and Shawna,
Have either of you found a 3-D showing in the Denver area? I went to hollywood.com but either I'm completely missing something, or I simply can't find one. I changed the radius to 25 miles, but truthfully I think I'd drive further to see it in 3D.

I haven't seen one advertised yet Elaine. I looked in the newspapers this weekend but I haven't checked online to see if maybe there was one that wasn't advertised.
I would venture to guess that the stadium one in Westminster will have something or Flatirons - if we get the 3D that's where I'm expecting to see it.

Leanne, I found out that there is a 3-D showing at Highlands Ranch 24, but only at one of the theaters. I checked today and the theater times were 12:45 2:45. etc....
I would love to go with you and Alex. We'll talk tomorrow at pre-school.

You cannot miss it. It is right at the end before the credits role and it will make the catch phrase in the movie make sense and let you know who came up with it. It is a long one and I cannot remember how it goes but it did mist my eyes. It also takes up the whole screen. If you miss it let me know and I will watch the movie again and write it down for you. I love this movie.:). Also during the first part of the credits there is a little more with the dinasaur not much but the kids will like it.
My wife was sick when Gabrielle and I went the first time, I felt really bad going without her but she wanted us to go, so she took Gabrielle to see it again last night while I went to watch thew Twins play. Gabrielle still liked it the second time.
