I don't remember if this was posted here. After the little mermaid 3, Disney will no longer make direct to video sequels. If it is not good enough to play in theaters then it won't be made at all.

I hadn't seen that - thanks! And thank goodness!!!! Those are just getting silly - that's my opinion...we've never bothered with those after a disappointing experience like 7 years ago... Quality - not quantity!!!

Thanks for the info. That is good to know. I agree that it was getting silly how many sequels they were doing. It was also disappointing that the TV animators made those sequels because the sequels weren't done as well as the original movies. It would be nice to see the TV animators create some good TV cartoons for the Disney Channel and Toon Disney instead of wasting their time trying to make sequels to movies that don't need sequels. But that is just MHO.

Wait, there's a Little Mermaid 3 coming out???
Thank goodness they're putting an end to this!!! I liked very few of the sequels.....one major exceptiong was The Lion King 1 1/2, that movie was hilarious!! Lion King 2 wasn't all that good but oh well.....

I never bothered with the other Lion Kings...I'm such a bad fan. I heard a commercial on Radio Disney for Little Mermaid 3. I had to laugh though, no intentions of seeing this until the short one in the house asks.

Yes it is about time,Walt did not like sequels and that should have been honored. It was the making of Toy story 2 that created the rift between Steve Jobs and Michael Eisner. Even though it was great pixar did not want to make it. Disney is more than turning a quick buck and the new chief seems to realize that.

Exactly Keith!!! Disney is better and it's high time they went back to the way that put them on top!!!

I completely agree. Toy story and Shrek are the only two good sequels I've ever seen.
Even worse then bad sequels is forking over $20.00 for a "Princess collection" and realizing that two out of the three stories were 30 minute cartoons that had aired for free, and one of the segments is completely non-animated (kinda like a power point presentation). I guess there's a sucker born every minute. :D

Oh no Elaine! Gosh, I hope this doesn't mean that they won't do Sing Along Song videos - I sure like those! I mean, Morgan too!!!

Well, I haven't seen the sing-a-long, but it sounds like it's truly enhanced. What I bought was really a rip off, allthough dd4 likes them so I guess "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

Elaine - we'll have to all get together and I'll put on one of the Princess Sing Along Songs - you can see what Linnea thinks of them.

that sounds good! Linnea loves anything that has to do with Princesses, and she's really into music these days too!

Shawna, I would highly recomend Lion King 1 1/2!! It was funny, not like what I expected at all!

I agree with Danette. I enjoyed Lion King 1 1/2 AND i liked Lion King II. THe music was really good in that movie. Those are the only Disney sequels I have liked (besides Toy Story). The rest should NEVER have been done although I did have to buy Bambi II for my girls and they LOVE Kronk's New Groove as well but still...I'm all for no more sequels!
