The whole article is posted in the Disneyland section, but I wanted to put the movie info here as well. It gives a little info on the plot of the movie (no spoilers).
?Pirates of the Caribbean: At World?s End? picks up where the record-breaking 2006 smash hit left off, with our heroes Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) allied with Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) in a desperate quest to free Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from his mind-bending trap in Davy Jones? locker. With the terrifying ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman, and its commander Davy Jones under the control of the East India Trading Company, there is havoc on the Seven Seas. Navigating through treachery, betrayal and wild waters, the heroic trio must forge their way to exotic <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Singapore and confront the cunning Pirate Sao Feng (Chow Yun-Fat). Now headed beyond the very ends of the earth, each must ultimately choose a side in a final titanic battle ? as not only their lives and fortunes, but the entire future of the freedom-loving Pirate way hangs in the balance. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Gore Verbinski from a screenplay written by Ted Elliott &amp; Terry Rossio, our beloved cast sets sail again on a fresh new adventure in May 2007.

I second Keith! I can't wait either!
We are planning on going to see it when DH and I go to NYC at the end of May. We'll be there over the memorial day weekend - and are scouting out where to buy tickets online.
Between that, meeting friends, two plays, and a Yankees game - our days will be totally full!

Slightly OT, but when we were in San Fran we saw a group of adults dressed as pirates. There was no festival or anything going on! I saw on a Trading Spouses (or was it wife swap) that some people are really totally getting into it. It seems to be the new Goth but for middle aged folks! :D

I might have mentioned that my theme this year has been "Plundering Our Way Through History". I have a ton of POC stuff and the kids are really digging on it. Well, I just worked otu the details with our local theater to have a private showing for my students. It will be on Satuday (the day after the movie opens) at 9:30am. The cost will be (this is what makes me really excited) $10.00 per student, this also include a drink and popcorn for each student. How cool!?! I don't think I will get all of my students to come on a Saturday, but I bet I can at least get 60 of them. Sweet.

I have been seeing commercials for this quite a bit lately - must be because of Survivor and AR finals. lol Anyway - it looks AWESOME!
And tonight, I saw that Chow Yung Fat is in it. I used to know someone who could have been his twin (except my friend wasn't oriental - but that's beside the point - they look the same) so it will be good to see him in a movie!
If I can go see Meet the Robinson's 3 times, I can at least see this in the theater once!

We had free tickets for Pirates last year, but never took the time. This year, I may have to force the issue. lol

I'm not sure I can go see it in the theater unless Glen and I do it on the sly. Linnea loves the first two movies, but it's my practice to not let her see a PG movie until I've had a chance to check it out. If she knew we were leaving her with a babysitter to see Pirates 3 she'd be devastated. So I'm in a sticky situation.

Maybe we can work something out Elaine. I can watch Linnea, and we can call it a play date. Then while we see it, you can watch Alex!
That way we can both see it, without having to worry about a sitter, and since we know they like each other, and I am sure your house is as full of Disney toys and other toys as mine, the kids would be in heaven!
Option number 2 is Kids Town - you could tell Linnea you are doing something else. lol
And I love your policy. Andy and I are the same way with Alex!

Leanne, I love your idea. I think we can figure something out. We do use Kids Town, so worse case, the kids could play at Kids Town while you and I see a discounted morning show.:D

Not there Cat, but thanks for the invite!
That sounds like a total plan Elaine - kidstown for the kids, movie for you and I! That way, we can see it 2 times. ;) And we don't have to worry about having Linnea here in case the dogs or cats bother her.
And of course, we can make up for it by taking them to see Ratatouille next month, right? All's fair. :)

That sounds like a plan. So far Linnea hasn't displayed allergies, and she loves animals. Unfortunately I'm the one that's horribly allergic to cats, and somewhat allergic to dogs. It breaks my heart because I am such a dog person.

How sad Elaine - I think I told you I have a mild allergy to cats. Just a sore throat every day of my life - nothing serious, and not very sore, just noticable. Today though, I have developed a HORRIBLE sore throat. Think I am catching what Andy has.

And I read today that this special deal for the premier sold out by April 30th! A lot of people paid big bucks, but the Make A Wish foundation got a ton of it, so great job to those who did purchase!
