One of the best things about a cruise is all the fabulous things they have available on the daily schedule...everything from bingo to crafts to volleyball!
One of the worst things is the size of the rooms! Unless you are able to afford one of the more expensive rooms...you are living in anywhere from 100-150 square feet with your loved ones for a week or more....
Tell us your most favorite stories of having fun on a cruise...not the excursions, the boat stuff!

Okay it is silly but when we first got to our room we was shocked by how small it was. Then Troy goes into the bathroom and about died. All of a sudden I hear a loud "Whoosh" then a big suction type sound. Yes he discovered the toliet.
I loved the food on the ship and all the midnight buffets. You never went hungry.

LOL...yes, the infamous toilet!!! LOL
There is always at least one comedian who discusses the dangers of flushing while seated! hehe!
I agree on the buffets...some of the best fresh fruit I have ever had...and why does food always taste better when someone else does all the work? :)

Cruises sound like fun but I've never been on one. You can say that I'm a cruise virgin:D I have done small stuff like boating and ferry-riding but cruises? That's a big one. Not really sure if I can handle all that. I'll stick to riding ferries and such but I won't ride on a cruise til I'm ready:D

What makes you nervous about a cruise?

Just all that planning and hoping things get all screwed up. Lol.

Girl, that is silly!
I would help you plan it...I have planned many many cruises for multiple passengers, and all of them have come home with all their pieces intact! :)
What kind of fun stuff are you looking to do on a cruise? What appeals to you that you have read about on this wonderful forum? :)

Lol! That's great to hear:DI really like the idea of a group activities. Hmmm, I'd like to do a group thing with friends but also get with some strangers as well. You know, play with some fun toys, maybe sweat a little with some sports. Hmm...not sure what else!

I am thinking a group or theme cruise would be perfect for you...and definitely something with a rock climbing wall, etc...and lots of singles areas...what do you think?

That sounds like fun!
Singles area...hmmm.....that makes me a bit nervous as well. What kind of stuff do they do?

Okay - I am having a real tough time wrapping my mind around something.
I know a cabin on a cruise is around 200 square feet. Some smaller, some larger, right?
So how BIG is that? lol I was thinking in terms of our house, is it like the size of a bedroom (not the master) and in that size is also the bathroom?
Just wondering, as I am not fond of small spaces. Sue, and other cruises, can you help put the room size into perspective for me please?

Actually, unless you are in a balcony or a suite, most interior and oceanview staterooms are no more than 150 sq ft. So figure about 10x15..and yes, that includes the bathroom footage!
Here is the picture and floorplan of the room on the Norwegian Majesty I am taking in Nov...108 sq ft!!!!! Now, we will have the beds pushed together...so about a foot on either side.

Very small...but you aren't really doing anything in there that requires THAT much space! LOL
We have had the larger rooms on Carnival, etc, but this is a smaller ship, and hence the smaller rooms.

10 x 15. Yep, I CAN wrap my brain around that! Thanks so much for clarifying it for me Sue! It seems very small, but you are right, how much are you actually in your room anyway? lol

If I was going to go all out, I would do a balcony suite and really have a ton of space...otherwise not worth the extra money for a few extra sq ft to sleep and be married in!

Yeah - I think when we do it, we will try to get a balcony room. Simply so we can enjoy sitting out there after Alex falls asleep. I am definitely not good in small spaces. lol
