Well--- just saw Dead Man's Chest. Maybe not a movie for the younger Disney fans (I heard a couple kids afraid during the battles with a "big squiddy monster". I thought it was quite good, and WOW, I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL PIRATES 3 (you'll know what I mean if you watch the ending).
I liked the Walt Disney Pictures CGI introduction at the beginning (ah, it makes you feel like you are at the castle). My only complaint with the movie was the two people sitting behind me who enjoyed their LOUD conversation more than the movie. I really felt vindicated when they didn't understand the ending (it was obvious they didn't see Curse of the Black Pearl).
Oh, and I won some Pirates (sorry I have to capitalize Pirates, it's in my blood, as it's also the name of the Pittsburgh baseball team) merchandise. The local movie theatre had a cross promotion with the grocery story for some of the Pirates products. I was the lucky one out of 400 people to win--- A box of Pirates Cereal!!

WTG on your win Kevin!
I can't wait to see this movie. Not sure when we will have time but we will figure it out. Just wait till you go to Disneyland and see the new Pirates. It is totally awesome, and I have pictures for you all as soon as we get them up.

You will enjoy the movie. I actually did some reading, and Pirates 3: At World's End is scheduled for release in 2007, so it doesn't look like Disney will keep us waiting for long. At the end of this movie, you will probably feel like the same way you walked out of Empire Strikes Back (you remember, Luke, I am your father).
Yeah, I cannot wait to get to DL and ride the ride. I'm sure your photos and such will be awesome.

I am a huge Pirates fan, both the movie and the ride and have been for years. It is nice to know they won't be keeping us waiting forever for #3.
Now, if only I can get to the theater for number 2. lol

We went and saw it today as well! Very good, can't wait for 3 to come out! A side note, the end credits are like 15 min long so if you have to use the restroom I wouldn't suggest waiting to see the "extra" clip at the end of the credits!! Of course we waited but me and one of my friends had to pee soooo bad! :w00t:

I think we are going to see it this weekend. I heard it doesn't really end. Is it true the 3rd is coming out at the end of the year?

Ok I'm a little confused by the convo but anyway. I loved PotC 2. It was really exciting and a lot of fun to see. Have you seen it yet Tink?

Right there with you Tink, dying to see it, can't with kids! Maybe we'll get moved soon and we can trade kids to watch it. If not, I'll really look forward to DVD...

So how much longer will it be in theaters? Is it even still in them? The coupons I have are good through 9/15 so I hope so.

I guess that is an advantage of your kids being out of the preschool set. Kate went with us (she is 8) and we all loved the movie.

Okay, so for that I'm jealous! Then again, I don't want my baby growing up anymore than she already has - I'll have the rest of my life to catch up on all the movies I've missed in the last 2 years (and will continue to miss...) Those days will come, but I'm going to just treasure these I have now.
We're so lucky to live in this age and society - not everyone can run over to the video store at their convenience to pick up a movie they missed and watch it for a few bucks in the privacy of their home!
Soon enough I'll get to see Pirates and probably ride it even sooner!!! Yippee!
