Just got back from seeing Ratatouille with my wife and daughter. Fantastic. Pixar does it again with amazing animation. It was a little long at 1 hr and 50 min for my daughter but she still loved it. A lot of the jokes were over her head but she didn't seem to mind. It was a great story. When I first heard that pixars next film was going to be about a rat I didn't think that I would like it but boy was I wrong. 5 stars out of 5 stars for me. There is also a short movie at the start that is very funny. You also get to see the first glimse of the next pixar movie coming out in 2008, The last of the original concepts that pixar came up with when they brainstormed while finishing the toy story movies. A meeting where they came up with Finding nemo, monsters inc, bugs life, etc.
I am so glad to hear this is a good movie. I was a little concerned, and Elaine and I are hoping to take the kids to see it this week.
So - what is the next Pixar movie going to be? I am happy that Disney has done well on their own with Meet the Robinsons, but I have to say I love those Pixar compilations!

ok, if I remember the title corectle it is Will.E. It is about a robot who has done its job for 700 yrs then starts looking at the stars. Thats about all they reveiled.
Thanks Keith - we saw it today.
So - did Wall E (that's the name. lol) remind you of someone? Can you say #5? (Short Circuit with Ally Sheedy - '80's I think). That is what Wall E reminded me of.
And of course, Alex is chomping at the bit for that movie already. lol
He and Linnea kind of enjoyed Ratatouille. They did get board several times though. It is a pretty long movie for a kids movie. I must say though, that I really enjoyed it.
And - I am litterally terrified of mice/rats. I still enjoyed it!

That is exactly what I thought, #5 is alive. Thanks for the name correction, totally spaced on it. The problem with the movie for the kids was that once again the jokes go over their heads and are aimed at us adults. I still liked it and can't wait to see the next.
I liked the movie too. Can't wait to see it on video!

Trey & Kyan went to see it with my aunt & they loved it. They both sat through it and said it was very funny.

I really enjoyed the movie too! The city scapes of Paris were just breathtaking!
I loved the Pixar short "Lifted". Apperantly you can buy it for 1.99 from the Ipod site and it looks like it's one of their best sellers.
I loved the short too. I hope they put it on the DVD when it is released!
