Danette and Jake?s WDW Trip Day 6 Thurs Oct 16: 4 Parks, 1 Day!

Okay, so we have to redo some pics and I came up with a bright idea to do all 4 parks in one day. Jake said let?s do it, so we did! First up Extra Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom, but first, a few rules Jake and I came up with: One, we have to take a pic in front of every park icon together since we?re in the same clothes it will be cool to do the scrapbook to show how w did it. Two, we want to ride at least one good ride at every park along with getting our pics in.

So, up at 630, a bowl of cereal and a couple of breakfast bars to go and we?re off. Because we?re trying to get all 4 parks in, we?re going to drive, even to Magic Kingdom. So off to the TTC we go, park, and Jake comes up with something new, we take a pic of every parking lot sign we park at, I was already taking pics of the entrance to the parking lots. At the TTC we jump on the monorail and we?re off! We get there and we take our picture on Main Street with the castle in the background. And then we?re off to ride rides. WE of course hit up Space Mountain and then over to Fantasy land where we hoped to cut over to Frontier land, I thought Big Thunder was a morning EMH ride, it?s not. So we thought about jumping on Peter Pan, the line is already at 45 min so we skip it. But the carousel, we haven?t ridden that yet and I always have to ride it (it?s usually the last ride of the day, something relaxing about riding on a horse in a circle) so we hop on. And then we see Ariel?s grotto, I haven?t met Ariel, but that line is 65 min long, skip it! Hey, Tea Cups! We haven?t made ourselves sick yet (yes, we must ride the Tea Cups every trip, even though it will almost make us sick, and yes, we spin it like crazy!) so we hop on and we whirl away. Jake hears people saying, wow, look at how fast they?re going! Yeah, we didn?t feel so hot after we got of that (Mission Space orange side has got nothing? on the Tea Cups!). By then it was almost time for park opening so we head over to where it?s roped off by Liberty Square and wait for the rest of the park to open so we can jump on Big Thunder one more time. Rope drop and people take off running! Jake and I laugh at the idiots and take the less traveled path next to Rivers of America and walk and still get there at the same time as the fools running. So hop on Big Thunder (they actually had cast members walking in front of the group to make sure no one ran to the front of the line, sad that they have to do that) and then I want the princesses autographs and Toontown is opening at 10, in 30 min so I figured we?ll just go wait in line and be through. We made a pit stop before going over there, Jake wanted anther Dole Whip, but they weren?t open yet but because we were next to it we went through the Swiss Family Tree House, way bigger than Tarzan?s at Disneyland, but I like them both. Okay, so off to Toontown and hop in line, we had 15 min until opening. We hop in line thinking we?d be through quick and that would have worked except the automatic doors wouldn?t shut, so they stopped the whole line to figure out why they wouldn?t shut. So they wouldn?t shut, who cares, you can still let people in to see them and keep the line moving. When we first got in line we had a 30 min wait, our actual wait time was an hour and 10 min, never again will we do that!

After collecting autographs and pictures, we head out and off to the second park, Animal Kingdom. We get there, we missed Festival of the Lion King so we run back and fast pass Everest stopping in front of the Tree of Life to take a pic. After we collected the fast passes we wandered around taking pics and collecting my pressed pennies, oh and getting pretzels to munch on as we were starting to get hungry. We walked down some of the animal trails which was really neat, almost all the animals were out, the tigers were playing with a big ball in the fountain so that was cool to watch. After the trails our fast pass time rolls around and we?re on Everest in 5 min, we thoroughly enjoyed our last expedition up Everest. When we got off, what do you know, we can make the Festival of the Lion King, so off we go. By this point Jake and I have pretty much got the parks down, well except for Disney Hollywood Studios, and we found it was easier to separate (keeping each other in site) and weave through to our destination, we saved a lot of time doing that than trying to get both of us through. Festival of the Lion King, loved it! Very upbeat, funny and entertaining, again, needs padded seats! LOL After Lion King, off we go to park number 3!

By now it?s a little after 3, I?m starting to get hungry and cranky so we decide to eat at Disney Hollywood Studios. We jump in the car and we?re off. We get there about 330 right after Block Party Bash moved off of Hollywood Boulevard, grab a show guide and start figuring out what we want to do. We run over to Rockin? Roller coaster, no more fast passes, 45 min, too long, run over to Toy Story, knew that was a lost cause, no fast passes 110 min wait (we saw it hit 120 at one point). So, back over to Tower of Terror, grab fast passes and look, we can explore the other side , come back over for Beauty and the Beast show and then ride TOT and look at this, catch the Indiana Jones Stunt show before leaving the park. We had a little time to kill before Beauty and the Beast so headed back to Hollywood Boulevard looking for a photo pass guy to take our pic with the sorcerer hat in the background (rule number 1 for the day). No one was out when we walked down the first time because of the parade. After that I was really hungry so we headed back over towards ToT and Beauty and the Beast. We were in line for a pizza when the lady, who had been fumbling around trying to figure out the room key/counter service credit thing for well over 5 min looked at us and said, I?m closed. She could have told us this 5 min ago and we would have stood in the other line and already be done, now we?re at the back of the line and we?re going to miss the show. We leave the line and find seats for the show, stated looking around and noticed we could eat in there, so Jake ran back across to get the pizza and a drink. The same lady was at the register, apparently she was suppose to relieve the other cast member, not open a new register, which was why she was closing, to fix her mistake. Anyways, Jake said he stood there waiting for her and she was just chatting away to someone else who worked there but wasn?t working that day (that?s how long he was standing there, he figured out their conversation) he found someone that seemed to be a manager and told him the situation, he went over to the old lady (?cause she was old, white hair and everything) and said she had a guest waiting on her. Then she got hateful with Jake, very short and rude. That was the one time we were treated badly by a cast member our whole trip. Anyways, Jake gets the food and we watch Beauty and the Beast, eh, wouldn?t watch it again (man my butt hurt, still no padding on the bleachers!) but glad I watched it at least once. On to TOT. I like the que better at DL, much more themeing, I also like the cast members at DL, they really play the role of creepy bellhops, the girl we had at DHS was way, way to chipper to be a creepy bellhop. The ride, I like the actual ride at DHS much better than DL, not knowing how many times you?re going to drop is a thrill in and of itself! After TOT on to Indy?s stunt show (still no padding on the seats, good think Food and Wine was next!) and that was a really good show and we would watch that again.

So now we?re at about 6 and it?s time for EPCOT. We head over, take our pic in front of the sphere and on to see about getting on Test Track, ummmm, nope, not happening! So we jump on Mission Space, orange side, again. After our flight to Mars we head straight for World Showcase, some of the countries we hit before had 2 things we wanted to try so we were going to start in with round 2. Like the salmon in Canada, that was good! This time no beer for me (until Germany that is), strictly wine. We tried sushi in Japan, but we already knew what the rolls they had tasted like as they are our favorite rolls, California and spicy tuna rolls, the plum wine there is good as well. We continue around, stopping for beer in Germany and making our way towards Norway for Illuminations. We stop at the Chinese booth and got, well it was pretty much chicken on a stick but the sauce on it, yummy! I did talk to the girl working the booth who was from Hong Kong and I told her I had been there and I want to go back to visit again. We chit chatted for awhile and then we scouted out a spot for Illuminations. All I can say about Illuminations is WOW!!! I like that as much as Remember Dreams Come True (we found out later that it costs $30,000 a night for Illuminations). That?s the kind of fireworks show we like to see! Illuminations we will make sure we watch at least once every trip.
So, now it?s the end of the night, the parks closing, I?m feeling good from the wine, and we?re on our way back to the campgrounds for bed. This is another night we made it into bed before midnight (just barely though!).

Final thoughts for the day: If there had been anyone else there but just the 2 of us, we would have never gotten all the parks in. I?m really surprised we got as much in as we did. We had fun doing it and didn?t feel as exhausted as you might think. We probably will never be able to do this again as the next time we go down we probably won?t be by ourselves so I?m glad we did it now so we can say that we?ve done it.

How fun...four park in one day. Yes, you won't get to do that for awhile if you have kiddos
sorry to hear about the pizza lady but unfortunately there is some bad seeds floating around at WDW. Did the manager do anything else besides telling her a customer was waiting?

Yeah, that's part of why we went ahead and did it, we're hoping to have a kiddo the next time we get down there and even if not my in-laws will probably be with us and I can't make them go like that! LOL

And yes, all the manager did was tell her she had a customer and that was it, and then she was hateful towards Jake like it was his fault. I have her name and everything, debating on wether or not I should write an email in.

too bad you didn't have the bellhop we had on ToT!!! He was the CREAPIEST!!!!! I mean....I was SO creaped out!!! He was awesome! He was all skidderish and gibbering nonsense (the doors are closing, the doors are closing over and over like a crazed psycho etc) He had bug eyes and just kept staring at us (me and Britt in particular...probably cause we were so creaped out)...and he would go up and whisper things in your ear during the show....which really made me jump! :) I loved it!
I can't believe you made it to all 4 parks in one day! We did 2 and that was enough for me!!! :) But yeah....you can't do that anymore!!! ;)

The ideal way to do it is to have EMH in the morning and the evening so you can take a break in the afternoon or have a little extra time in each park. We only had one EMH and it was the morning hour.

Our bellhop at TOT was pretty bad too D - I know what you mean about chipper.
Ouch - I would definitely send a comment in on Pizza Lady.
4 parks, one day, no fights? Has to be a record ;) Sounds like a lot of fun.
