We missed getting the secret veranda Cat 7 room but one room, it's the stateroom in front of ours. We're in 7122 and the secret veranda is 7120.
There are 4 secret rooms on both ships: 7120, 7620, 6134, and 6634. They use to be Cat 6 rooms with the open veranda but because of a slightly obstructed view they were moved to a Cat 7. We were oh so close!

I just wanted a cat 7. When I booked I was in WI and the connection wasn't all that great there so I didn't get a chance to pull up the special cat 7 rooms. Oh well, can always try for the next cruise! LOL

So you pay for an outside room and you are surprised to find a verandah?? That's how it works?? That would be nice!
Did you mention when you booked that it's your honeymoon? I bet they'll have great stuff for you! More than just a pin to wear! :) But that too! On a boring ol' regular cruise you still get personalized deserts, special service. So on Disney, I bet it'll be grand!!!

No, Cat 7 rooms all have the navigator verandas, but there are 4 staterooms on each ship that use to be Cat 6's with a partially blocked veranda and I guess enough people complained about the blocked view that the moved them from a Cat 6 to a Cat 7. Let me try and explain it this way:
Cat 6 Veranda: open balcony with railing and plexiglass.
Cat 7 Veranda: "navigator veranda" more like a extra room with an open portal window.
The "secret" rooms have the open balcony but it's partially blocked similar to the navigators veranda and are listed as a Cat 7.

I am going to have to look more into a cruise...although when I priced them out they were mightly expensive compared to DW or DL.
Which ship are you going on again?

The Magic. The only reason ours is so expensive is because we wanted the veranda (we figured, our honeymoon might as well go for it). We could have gone on a 7 day cruise for right around what we paid to go to Disney World in Oct. The 3 and 4 day cruises are a little cheaper and you can then go over to WDW for the rest of the week. Just a thought.

It's not too bad for 2 people I guess. But for 4 it's way out of our price range! a 5 day is almost double what a 7 day trip to the world would be! I sure wish they had Carnival prices! I'd be on it in a second! But then again....I'm sure you get your money's worth on DCL!!!! That's our...'if we win the lotter'...trip. :)
