I woke up early today, around 6 am, so after my shower I drove to Wynne Dixie for groceries. I picked up cereal, yogurt, cheese, crackers, cookies, ice tea, milk and juice boxes. Last night Linnea had rice crispies from the market at our food court. I did the math and it worked out to over $25 pound. Ok, that's fillet Mignon prices. Plus the food court in the morning is just too crazy. So for the most part, we had breakfast in the room.

Linnea wanted to go to Epcot today, so the two of us headed in pretty early. Glen stayed back in the room to get some work done....we had planned to meet around 10 am.

Linnea and I got fast passes for Soarin' then went to the Living Seas to ride on Nemo. Linnea didn't want to do Turtle Talk with Crush because she was feeling shy. On our way to Imagination we were getting hungry, so we stopped and shared a pretzel. We called Glen, and he was just pulling into the parking lot at Epcot, so Linnea and I used our Soarin' fast passes and met Glen outside the attraction. Then the three of us got fast passes for later.

I had swung by guest services in the morning, and with the exception of Canada, all the sit downs had availability. We made ressies at Coral Reef for 1:30 but walked in around noon and they were able to take us early. I was surprised how empty the restaurant was at noon. I had the mahi mahi, Glen had the Talapia, and Linnea had the mac and cheese.

The three of us went on Soarin' after lunch. There was a party of 18 that for some weird reason had to be seated together and it made the process rather messy. I don't get it? The only people you notice on this attraction are the ones sitting right next to you....and even then you're not paying attention to them. Why do you have to keep such a large group together?

We did the newly updated Spaceship Earth and LOVED the new enhancements. I laughed so hard at the interactive cartoons....Linnea and Glen sat next to each other and their pictures were just hilarious.

Some really nasty weather moved in with rain and wind so we opted to go back to the hotel early. Glen and Linnea went to the food court for dinner. Glen had a grilled salmon that he still raves about. Linnea had chicken nuggets. I just snacked on cheese and crackers since I was still pretty full from lunch.

Wow, a walk-in at Coral Reef at noon, I am impressed. Did you get a great table or was you on the third level. I do have to say, once you sit tank side you will not enjoy being higher up on the third level.
Did you guys do Test Track?

We were on the third level. Last year we sat on the second level. Maybe someday we can score a table by the fish tank.

Linnea went on Test Track on day 3 with Glen. Liked it except for the loop.

Hopefully I can get day 3 done today!

Can't wait to hear more!!!
We missed Spaceship Earth and that's the one thing Guy wanted to do! It was always a long line. We kept coming back (as everyone suggested) and the line was always long. Then it closes earlier than other rides so we missed it. :(
So L has no problems with riding Soarin but she wouldn't ride Test Track??? Weird! It sounds like she was opening up her ride shell a bit this trip!!!!

She's always loved Soarin'. And she did go on Test Track, but just didn't want to do it a second time. At least we did Haunted Mansion 4 times!

Splash was closed for refurbishment for the first half of our trip, and the second half we had freezing temps. So I didn't even mention that one to her.....I certainly was not going to get soaked when the temps were in the 30's and 40's!

That's too bad about Spaceship Earth. We have always discovered that to be a walk on in the late afternoon/evening. The new enhancements are really neat, but it still retains it's old charm.

We had the mahi mahi at Coral Reef and we loved it, it was I think our favorite meal while we were down there. Sounds like ya'll had a good day with more mother/daughter time. Too bad Glen had to work!

Sounds like a great day. Alex really liked Spaceship Earth too. We didn't have any wait at all when we were there.
So you can go to Guest Services inside the park to make your dining reservations? I will have to remember that!
