Today is Glen's Segway day. He left the room early so he could be at Epcot 15 minutes prior to the start time of 9am.

Linnea and I arrived at the park shortly after 9. We went to Guest Services and learned that we would be able to watch Glen for the first hour. The first hour is indoor instruction in Innoventions. Linnea and I had fun watching Glen and he had the biggest grin on his face! I loved watching all these grown ups play Red Light/Green Light on the Segways. Plus they had to maneuver through cones and up and down ramps.

Linnea and I spent time doing the Kidcot activities. Then it was time to meet up with Glen for lunch.

We wanted to do a sit down for lunch. All the sit downs (except Canada) were once again available. But Glen was in the mood for a Hamburger, so we headed out to Big River Brewery on the Boardwalk. Glen had a burger, Linnea had the grilled cheese sandwich. I ordered the blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich, and right after ordering it heard the lady at the next table complain that it was too salty (I hate salty food), and her friend had ordered the chicken Nachos which looked yummy, so I chased down our server and changed my order. Nacho's were great.

We went on Imagination ride. Then it was back to the room for a little quiet time.

Glen had a little work to do. Linnea and I headed to one of the beaches (one with a playground), and I read my book while Linnea ran around. It was pleasant temp wise, and the atmosphere was so perfect.

We were in the mood to go off property this evening.....plus I had to have my Cuban sandwich from Publix (it's a tradition). We first went to Walmart to pick up a few items. Linnea got their popcorn chicken, which she loves. I spied some Disney shirts that I wanted to check out but Glen's tolerance for Walmart is pretty low and tour groups of teenagers from South America were there in droves. Then it was off to Publix, where Glen and I took home our sandwich dinners.

Tomorrow will be an MGM day. We can't wait to check out Toy Story Mania.

Hmmm, we have a Publix right down the street, might have to see if they have that cuban sandwich and go try one. I sooo want to do a Segway tour, I'm glad Glen had fun on his, luckily for me Jake likes gadgets and stuff so I may be able to talk him into a tour on our next trip.

Did Glen take a camera with him on the Segway tour? I know they took 2 pictures of Troy in the free wheeling area.

Yes, we have pictures! I took a bunch when he was inside, then he has some of himself around Italy. :)

Okay, so I am waiting. Where are the pictures? :)
Sounds like another great day. But what is a Cuban Sandwich?

I've only seen Cuban sandwiches in Florida. BTW, the Commissary in Disney Hollywood Studios has one on the menu, and I'd stay away from it.

It's made on french bread, with ham and also a shaved, smoked pork, plus Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard. Often the bread is brushed with honey mustard. It's then grilled in a sandwich press so its like a panini. I try to make one here with black forest ham and turkey. Then I wrap it in foil, throw it on my Foreman grill, and lean into the grill with all my weight to smush it.

It turns out OK, but the Florida ones are much better. ;)

The Swiss cheese would turn me off. I absolutely can't stand the stuff. I like panini's though!
