Well, Monday was a holiday and Ryan was scheduled to take his test for tech on Tuesday. I decided to give him a day of solitude to study and just relax for his big test, so the kids and I took the day and went to Disneyland in Tokyo. Yes, we have been before, but every time you go to Disney, magic happens.
This was an ITT trip which means it was sponsored by base. We pay a little more for our tickets and ITT provides the transportation. This was very nice especially at the end of a long Disney day.
We left Yokota at 6:30 and had one potty break in route. We arrived at the Park at 9:00 just after the park had opened. It was crowded, but as not crowded as it had been the last time we went.
The first magical moment happened as we entered. We spotted Cinderella. Molly loves the princesses and Gabe just likes that the Princess understand him and he can understand them (Princesses, as a rule, speak English.) This was a great way to start the day.
Then we found a popcorn vender with no line. The gods were smiling upon us. This trip we only had two different flavors, Carmel and honey. Both are delicious. I bought the kids new popcorn buckets. I know that I should just bring the old ones back with us, but this time we got a Tinkerbelle and Buzz Lightyear!

Our first ride of the day was awesome. Molly braved Star Tours. Yep, Molly Dolly decided she wasn?t afraid and went on a ?scary ride?. Then, she surprised me by wanted to go on the star jets. That was two for two. Of course Gabe then wanted to go on Space Mountain and Molly?s new found bravery was gone.

We ended up going on the two previously mentioned, and the Merry Go Round, Peter Pan, Goofy?s Bounce House, Roger Rabbit?s car ride, and Small World. The lines were long. You know there is something wrong when you start thinking, an hour line isn?t two bad.
We ate our lunch at the Blue Bayou, like Disneyland in California the restaurant is inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The food was very good. I had the special 25th anniversary set. Molly and Gabe had the children?s set. The best part was the desert. It was shaped like a treasure chest. How cool! Of course while we were by the POC ride I had to do some shopping. I bought a flag and some other things for my classroom.

Dinner was at the Tomorrowland Terrance. The food was OK, small portions, but hey, its Japan. We had some other snacks while in the park, churros, donuts, more popcorn. I really wanted to try the cream cheese stuffed pretzels, but Molly and Gabe were not down with waiting in line for it.
The main parade of the day was very entertaining. Molly and Gabe got lots of individual waves from characters and Molly actually blushed when Peter pan waved at her.
In front of the castle in Tokyo they have set up benches so you can watch the shows in comfort. Well, the Japanese are master waiters, meaning they can wait for days, which is why the lines don?t bother them. In order to prevent people form camping out in front the castle all day, Disney has a lottery to win seats at the show. Guess what? We WON! Yep, we had seats right up front for the last show of the evening. It was very spectacular. Of, and here is a funny Japanese culture thing, they don?t clap after each number. They wait till the end. We Minces, we clap, we holler, we embarrass ourselves.
After the evening show were began to turn into icicles. We did some shopping and then called it a night. Yes, we skipped the Electric Light Parade, but we had seen it before and the thought of standing in the cold for 30 more minutes, just wasn?t that appealing.
It only took an hour to get home as there was no traffic. A Magical Disney Time was had by all.
