In preview cruises now Author of the Kingdom Keepers Series Ridley Pearson will be onboard 1/23 May be another book on the cruise ships?
Ship will be Christened in Port Canaveral on 1/19 - I am sure it will be an event as when she pulled in on 1/4 to fireworks at 5am.
I knew a book about the ships was coming, but it may be sooner than I thought! We love that series here.
I have also seen previews of this ship and would love to take a cruise on this exquisite ship!

Yes today the ceremony started at 10:30am FL time
WOW it was really cool to see, a big show and in true Disney style with Characters, a few pirates, including Jack-- Captain Jack sorry.
Her God Mother is Jennifer Hudson-- Who actually started her career singing on the Disney Wonder.
She was Christened with Dreams of Adventure, tales of Princesses from Far Away lands, and all of our dreams of our future sailings on her. The bottle broke with a little bit of help-- it was a very big bottle of dreams, the fireworks and all cast and crew members cheered.
Really great day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DISNEY DREAM! :D

I hate "real" work! LOL I had to miss the Christening because of it. I really wish I we could have kept our plans to cruise on the Dream this summer. I just can't justify paying approx $600 for my 1 yr old (well, 6 months now, but 1 yr at the time of the cruise) when she can't use the pools and if we want to do anything adult only we have to pay another fee for the nursery. If we had been able to get in on a cheaper room and only $150 for her then we'd so be in but as it stands, that's just too much to pay for an infant.
She looks beautiful. One day I will cruise.

I understand about the costs with bringing a child. Will keep you posted as to if they offer kids free again! This sold out fast for most cruises the last time they had it. But I will keep you updated.

We are taking a cruise this summer and tried to talk my mom into Disney. Unfortunately it was sold out the week we wanted to book. It looks fantastic though!!!
So who are you cruising on, and to where? Its still fun to hear about!

Leanne - We are cruising on Carnival Fascination in July. Going to Guy, B, J and my mom. It's a 5 day to Nassau and Half Moon Cay. We are really looking forward to it....though I was SO trying to finagle my way onto the Dream! (Mom didn't want to take Disney for some reason...I think she thought it was going to be too kiddish for her) Anyway! Guy really wanted to go to Nassau though I'm not sure why?! Pirates. I wanted a private island (read free beach day). Mom wanted fun days at sea and got two of them. The kids are just happy to take a vacation..doesn't matter to them where we go. ;)
